Our approach
Repairing a water leak methodically
For every leak we follow the same order: stop the damage, establish the cause, repair with focus, then prove with a pressure test that the circuit is tight.

Shut off the supply and stop the damage
We locate the right stopcock and isolate the circuit involved so the leak cannot keep running. That keeps the damage limited while we establish the cause.

Establish the type and position of the leak
We watch pressure and the water meter to see whether the leak is under pressure. If pressure holds steady, the search moves to the waste side or to condensation on cold pipework.

Expose the position with a minimal opening
The opening in wall or floor is limited to what is needed to work and to inspect. Where possible we work from an existing boxing or access hatch so the finish stays largely intact.

Repair or replace the weak point
The damaged length is removed and replaced with a joint suited to the pipe material. Where a seal or coupler is worn we replace it in full rather than simply tightening it up again.

Pressure test, moisture reading and handover
The circuit is pressurised and that pressure is monitored over a test period. We then take moisture readings and explain what still needs follow-up while the area dries.

Where a water leak often comes from
Not every leak has the same cause. Worn seals, corrosion or wear on pipe sections, water pressure that is too high, or a poorly made connection are among the most common culprits. In winter, pipes exposed to frost can crack and start leaking.
A leak at a coupler calls for a different approach from a hairline crack in copper or plastic. That is why we name the cause first: we stop the visible leak and reduce the chance that the same weak point fails again soon after.
Even a small leak that keeps dripping can, over time, swell floors, loosen plaster or encourage mould. In apartments an untreated leak can also damage the neighbour below. Fast, targeted repair limits that follow-on damage.

Place a bucket or towels under the leak and protect furniture and electrical appliances in the wet zone.

If there is moisture around sockets or appliances, switch off the circuit involved. Do not touch wet electrical parts.

Does the wall or floor have to be opened for the repair?
Not always. We first locate the leak as precisely as possible. Only when the pipe sits behind a wall or under a floor is targeted opening needed. We keep that opening as small as possible.
Do you also repair leaks on heavily worn pipes?
Yes. On a badly affected section we replace the damaged part. If a whole zone is structurally weak, we advise a wider pipe replacement so the problem does not return elsewhere straight away.
Is there a warranty on the repair?
